Night Shifts
Hi everyone! I really need a tip on when to take my champix. Im in my second week & really struggling at work. I work 8:30pm to 6:30am & not sure how i should be taking the day & night tablets. Is anyone else in the same boat? Anyone previously been through this? At the moment i get home in the morning & take my day tablet & then take my night one before heading to work. Thanks heaps in advance!
I took my together in the morning after I ate with a full glass of water otherwise I would feel sick! I was on it for 3 months before I quit and I HAVE BEEN SMOKE FREE FOR 2 MONTHS!!! stopped taking the chantix about a week ago so far so good!!!
I don’t think it make much difference, when I was having trouble taking 1 mg I was told to cut it in half and just take half morning and night, so I was taking half in the morning and the other half at night. 1 mg was to strong for me, was only on champix for 4 weeks and a 171 days later smoking is the furthest thing on my mind. Thanks heaps guys! I have just spoken to doctor & pharmacist. Apparently the only difference between the morning & night tablets is the amount of the drug that stops the cravings. So all good i will keep doing what im doing. Congrats to you both on your success!! Bring on a smoke free world & a long holiday!!
Hi cyclone80, congrats on making the decision, if your lucky you won’t get the nausea, I used the sea sick bands for first two weeks, which appears to have helped, got a bit lazy with them 3rd week and having some stomach issues, but nothing major. Some crazy dreams, you wake then doze off again as though you are now the director.
