Give up with your partner. Praise each other and be proud of each day you both stay smoke free. Tell other people in your life what you are doing and this will also help you be more motivated. Every day you don't smoke is a day closer to a happier healthy life.

Hi Joann

I quit 12 Days ago cold turkey and the spouse is so inspired that he got Allan Carr's book to help quit and stay quit permanently . I did it without the book and have no cravings, but am reading the book to reinforce my quit and make sure i never have another craving. Once the nicotine is gone from us, it is only the psychological hold left. And a mighty hold it has. This book helps you deal with it. Red-67 has a good concept of this too, but i don't think he read the book.

It is a mind set. Theoretically, if there is no desire, there should be no craving.

Look forward to being a non -smoker and be happy! Congrats on your success Joanne. Open your mind and be free.

Hi Joanne. How are you and the hubby doing with quitting smoking? I hope you are just the silent type that prefers to spend time with hubby and enjoying your time with the kids.

I hope you still follow stories and keep the incentive to see it through.
