how long will this take

I have a few questions... I quit around a week ago after smoking a pack a day for a little over a year. I assumed that after the four days passed, so would the symptoms. While they have decreased, I'm still having trouble concentrating and communicating. My mind is so foggy I have trouble forming coherent sentences at times. It's really inconvenient since I'm in school and this is an important time academically and quitting is negatively affecting my grades. The nicotine would help my memory and concentration. I'm also really emotionally unstable at the moment. I've cried and gotten irrationally angry every day and I'm not a typically emotional person. I really do not have time for this. How long will this last??

I have been attempting the last 3 months only got up to 10 days and am experiencing exactly the same with communicating with friends down the beach, cant think straight very confused cant respond to simple conversations I can feel and see my mates are backing away from me like I have something wrong with me, ok if this is normal how long does it last.

I think its depends from person to person, but you will see after a while this will also start going away - just read Quit Experiences here and you will see many other people go with similar and other symptoms.
You may still use nicotine patches, gums etc if you think this would help, but if you started cold turkey then I think it's best continue like this and it will get better you will see.
Best of luck!

I’m still a smoker. It is going to be extremely hard for me. I have a cig reward for anything & every thing I do. I love smoking, also sometimes smoke for boredom.
