Go for a long walk. Worked well for me on day 1.

Yes walking certainly helps it gets the mind off smokes and other things for a while. I walk to the beach and walk out over the jetty it helps me to just release those horrible feelings of cravings. 5 Days into a quit attempt i am going ok still haven't had a smoke.
