Bloating whilst quitting

Hi guys!

I have just quit cold turkey for just over 2 weeks now and I've gone through a lot of side effects - such as; constipation, gas, mood changes sometimes.. but these have all disappeared now EXCEPT bloating. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

I'm not eating more than I ever have done, and I still exercise the same amount as per usual. I don't think I've gained any weight, except bloat? I was just wondering if anyone has had this too and how long did it last? I find when I wake up in the morning its fine, but as the day goes by my stomach gets so bloated that my bra hurts whilst wearing it as its digging in! haha

Hi Sophie333, just popped in to say Hi, and a major congrats on just over 2 weeks of quitting cold turkey, Well Done..

Any major concerns healthwise, plz see your Dr as we are not qualified in that field, and would hate to give you wrong diagnosis...

But as a Quitter, yes your body goes through some changes, but i don't think i suffered from Bloating, but others on this Forum may have..

Sometimes we need to be patient with ourselves, as our bodies are still getting rid of alot of chemicals and other crap that we have given it over the years,

Maybe ban the bra...lol :)

But keep up your great progress in you quit campaign.

It is understandable to blame any symptoms you experience after quitting on the absence of smoking. But if bloating is persistent or troublesome it needs to be assessed by a doctor.

Hey! Try Iberogast - it’s a natural liquid that you put about 20 drops into water. I used this morning and night and it helped. I think the bloating was more due to not too regular....as you would be smoking. Iberogast (morning before you have anything and after dinner) and a good probiotic every morning will help ;) shouldn’t last long! Let me know how u go!

Also, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which is why I had severe bloating and IBS. What I recommended helps with Fibro too so it should def help.
