Kill the worm

There is no such thing as withdrawal pangs, just an empty feeling that returns about an hour after every nicotine hit, causing us to light up. This is the little worm. Every time you ignore the worm, you are starving it to death. It can't survive without being fed. The empty feeling is real, but guess what - non smokers don't have this problem, so we won't either, once we free ourselves from that hungry worm.

Never fails to surprise me. Yet, another profound insight for us quitters. I like the way you describe our problem.
