Slipping up

18 day 20 minutes and I slipped up....I had 3 puffs and put out because it was allfull and I felt so guilty and dissapointed with myself....that 3 puffs was not worth it so if you are going to slip up don't,you too will be disappointed....god luck

Hi Homebody,
Please don't beat yourself up, you learnt from your slip up and can now put that behind you and continue on your journey.

Thank Kim hope you are feeling better....think I was uptight because I am having day surgery tomorrow. But I am on my guard now and won't do that again.

Hi Homebody,
I am feeling better thanks. I'll post an
update under the post I started. Yes, stress can be a trigger for us all. Good luck with your surgery and please do let us know how you go.

I came so so close over the weekend from slipping, MargW kind of explained it well in her post I believe it was day 56. She had suggested to go back and look at her post, I suggest the same to you homebody. Anyhow, just get back on track and don't worry about it, you were just big time stressed over thinking about surgery. As far as I'm concerned it never happened, just don't let it happened again.
Hope your surgery goes well.
Mike

Hi Kim, thank you for thinking of me , I am fine all is good.....I am finding it really hard today with cravings but will not give in....thank once again for caring about me xx

Hi there,
I'm glad all went well. Sorry to hear about the cravings because they can be tough but that's not to say any of us are going to give in. Many of us smoked for years, it was part of everything we did. This is only my opinion but I think it can take time to learn how to deal with things differently. For some, triggers are stress, social settings, having a drink etc. I know for myself that it helps to read stories of long term quitters because they make me feel like okay, it's normal to feel this way but it by no way means that I'll fail in my quest. I am starting to learn that life can be enjoyable smoke free.
Anyway, thanks for letting me know because yes, I care xx
