Hi Jodie,
Congratulations on 12 days smoke free!!
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well and lack of energy as well as concentration are real withdrawal symptoms and I believe that to be the case no matter which Quit method you use. It sounds like you may have an upper respiratory tract infection. Are you able to check with your doctor?
Yes I understand what you mean about having kids and other life stuff, it's hard enough without feeling unwell on top of it.
Try when you can to get some rest and keep your fluid intake up.
Take care and hope you feel better soon.

did anyone have light headedness? i get nausea mainly in morning. This is my third week. sometimes i forget that ive given up and i go to light up a ciggie specially after dinner or lunch or when im stressed, and i find no smokes there. lol. Thi is my first time going cold turkey. used patches b4. its going to be really hard when my bf coes down rhis weekend from nsw to stay as thats when it all goes out the window. Even though his alwys gone outside to smoke when i see the packet and i can smell the smoke its preetty hard to resist. at the moment i really would prefer to just go bk on them s i never had any of these symptoms when smoking. so fatigued, nauseated, have vivid dreams when i finally do sleep. what are others experiencing?????. thanks for reading.

Hi Jodie! I felt ill the first couple of weeks I quit cold turkey. I got a cough I hadn't had when I smoked, had some pain taking deep breaths. Couldn't believe the irony of "feeling sick like a smoker" once I had stopped. Ugh!! But the cough disappeared and I am breathing deeply now in a way I haven't for years. I know you feel sick and pulled in a ton of different directions, but this WILL pass. I promise.
