schedule 28 Feb 2017

Day 10 of starting to stop quitting but day 4 smoke free. Nausea, fatigue, aches and pains. I am not sure if this is side effect of the patches or withdrawal symptoms. But Not feeling the best. I understand some here has to work. Lucky I don't but still having trouble getting though my day. So how do you cope getting though your day feeling like all you want to do is sleep.

Make sure you don't smoke and use the patch!!! Very dangerous! You would be raising your heart rate to high risk levels that could cause a stroke or heart attack! I used the patch and am now 124 days smoke-free. I am also a recovering alcoholic...124 wine-free! I suffer from severe depression and didn't realize it. Depression can zap you of your energy and make you feel tired all day. The patch is delivering Nicotine to your body, so that really isn't a factor. Take it one day at a time...you'll feel better as each day goes by!

Keep going Sandy! We're both roughly at the same point in the journey. With the nausea I find smoking and using smoking aids (champix) at the same time exacerbates feeling crook. I feel tired heaps too. Make sure you're taking it easy and drink lots of water. You can do it!!!

I don't know how to answer each separately but thank you both so much.

@ oneday@atime I've been on pre quit patches today is day 11. This helps you to cut down to quit. You can still smoke with these patches as they are non-continuous release of nicotine. But by about day 4 or 5 I had already stopped smoking i think now I am about day 5 none smoking. So now start step one and these are the patches you don't smoke on. But no smoking.

@ bexactly thank you. Yes I too drink lots of water but just get so over tied I just sleep most of the day. Today so far but early not feeling so bad. but yes just gotta keep going and hope this will subside soon thank you

Thank you Red-67 I too smoked for 44 years. I have since found swapping my patches around to different body part has helped some. I can cope with nausea the lucid dreaming has also stopped and the body aches and pains. Could also be withdrawal symptoms seem to be doing much better now. thank you for your reply
