Day 35 and feeling down...

Today I have just gone through the motions. Last night I was unsettled all night and woke theis morning just feeling blah and down. The weather didn't help much either! So I snuggled up on the couch watching crappy tv shows, eating way to much junk all day read books and moped like I had lost or am grieving... so now I'm in bed feeling icky cause I ate to much junk feeling a little bit emotional... and it hit me I'm day 35 I've had some easy day's maybe I'm missing the cigarettes? Who knows? I'm dwelling on it anymore.. here is to a fresh day tomorrow and the start of the weekend:)

i think it's good to be gentle with yourself and have a day on the couch if you need it. We all push ourselves so hard and never rest, and especially in the quitting process you should cut yourself some slack...so long as that doesn't mean smoking! Hope tomorrow is a better day.

Hi becca06, Don't be so hard on yourself Day 35 is a big achievement. I too at around the 30 day mark felt miserable, down, lost so many emotions and now I know that's normal. Please stay positive & push through with whatever it takes - Deep breathing, exercising, going for walks, eating, cleaning whatever it takes do it. It does get easier and you will get stronger day by day. Just don't let your guard down ever.

Oh how I remember doing this I even layed in bed the next day feeling fat nothing fit me I was like I don't want to get up I feel fat and unattractive I've got nothing to ware BUT SOMETHING In my head was saying get up then go for a walk don't just lie there so I did I walked for over an hour I'm on day 159 now and loving not smoking so do whatever it takes to get you through the next hour the next day just don't smoke congrats on 35 days you are doing a great job

Nothing wrong with staying on the couch and avoiding real life. In the heat of the battle, that is a good strategy. Well done.

Thanks guy's. I had an off day, then awoke the next day and a massive weekend full of fun with the kids.
