Overcoming the temptation

Posted in Hints and tips
schedule 3 Aug 2016

Today is my first day of being smoke free. I am going well, been to see my doctor and got and filled a script for patches. I have been tempted to smoke, but when I feel the urge to I use NRT and deal with it in my thoughts, and re assess my goals and reasons for quitting. I know I can do this!!!!

Hi Mickjc1975......nrt does help but also try to space usage as long as possible. I done that when i quit and now in my 17th day i do not feel so reliant on the nrt lozenges. The cravings do subside after the 1st week. Good luck and keep fighting.

just get through today and then do what you did today tomorrow and obviously you don't want to be reliant on another form of nicotine so as above.

so well done !!

if you can do one day then logically you can do another. Good on you and keep on fighting it. See the craving and pain for what it is, a complete mind game. You can be stronger than that, before you know it you will at one week..
