Stop smoking for 3 months and see the difference

OK, I am on day 55 now. I'm not getting serious withdrawals anymore and believe I can resist one day at a time but I still crave for a cigarette now and again. I'm hoping these cravings leave me completely after 3 months. How are some of you others doing who have more days behind you? Let me/us know.

I did a search on google and found the text below this paragraph which encouraged me to keep on and to believe that in 3 months its going to be even better than it is now. Its not too bad right now but my worst triggers seem to come when I am alone.

Nicotine withdrawal symptoms usually reach their peak 2 to 3 days after you quit, and are gone within 1 to 3 months.(1) It takes at least 3 months for your brain chemistry to return to normal after you quit smoking.(2) The last two symptoms to go usually are irritability and low energy

I needed to hear that about brain chemistry as I know its true but seems no one else seems to mention this stuff that my system needs to learn to function without nicotine and the rest of the crap in smokes.

thanks again and glad you are doing better , day 28 for me.

Hey IC,

Glad to see you continue in your struggle as I am continuing too. I know that I am addicted to nicotine but have not thought about what other crap they've put in to lace our legal drugs.

Day 28. Wow! You can do it, so can I!!!!

well done MC 56 days you will always be in front of me :) that's a good thing lets keep it that way those 20 odd days you have more than me I can live with for the rest of my life :)

30 days for me today saved over 400$ that I haven't paid In tax and that's not why I stopped but it sure does help smooth out the ride a bit.

I dread to think what other crap was in those things and if my lungs will ever recover 30 days yeah maybe a tad better but I see this is going to be a long process of healing guess 30+ years doesn't fix in 30 days , the good news is it cant get worse.

but little by little :)

have a happy smoke free day everyone!!
