I think it's a great idea to join the gym and get physical. You will see that you can't run for long on the treadmill at first, but after giving up cigarettes over time, you will be able to see great benefits at the gym. You will feel so much better and you will see progress and people will start commenting on the way you look too!

Yep - the physical thing helps reduce physical cravings and gives a little peace of mind. I am sure giving up smoking also helps build endurance.

I have been walking to quit. Sometimes I go around the block with my dog.

Other times I go to a nature park, other times I go to the scarp, sometimes I climb a hill and more, like the beach. The quitline said not to wait to quit to walk, but walk to quit. I am doing my best each day.
