Taming the Inner Brat

I started a document or a letter if you will for my Inner Brat. She is having tantrums today because she wants a smoke, I have offered her the alternatives of iced lemon water, whole wheat english muffin with peanut butter and a banana. She seems satisfied at the moment.

Good on you - I have had that brat around for the past 5 days too, and now on Day 23 today - not sure why, but its driving me mad too.. Distraction, snacking, changing direction of what you are doing, and getting busy seems to keep it at bay at the moment..

Don't forget the basics of sipping water and deep breathing. Husband and I glorify the water

Addiction is tough, beat it sometimes choosing another healthy addiction where possible choose one you can do easily, I walk, you can imagine how silly I look walking the house perimeter on a hrly time slot. But I feel better, I believe this is the battle I will win no matter how tough it gets, I will seek all supports to win, thanks for my time to rant. A friend told me when she gave up smoking, the money she saved brought her new runners as they kept wearing out.
