been awhile

I havn't been in for awhile so thought I would see how everyone is going.
I have got to over 1000 days smoke free - 1030 actually. I think about $17000 in money not spent on cigs and that is at the price a couple of years ago.
Occasionally I think of having a smoke but it is a fleeting thought. And to think I was dubious as to whether I could do it at the start.
If you are just starting the journey, hang in, it does get easier.

Lovely to see your post Gerry1, I remember you were very supportive in the early days of my quit. Happy to say I'm nearly halfway to where you're at, close to the 500 day mark. I was dubious at first too, just figured I had nothing to lose by giving it a try, the determination to stay quit came later. Anyway, well done!

I'm on day 47 and I find it's hard when I get upset. Today I vented with so much passion that I almost scared myself. But when I think about it at least I didn't go outside and give up all that I've worked so hard towards! So, on to day 48.
Dear Gerry 1, Congratulations to your success! I quit 4 months ago and I feel great ;)

I don't know how many times I have read the word 'inspirational' on this site. That is what you and others who revisit to share your journeys are. At half a year, I look forward to many more milestones. Congratulations on your success and determination.

It is inspirational to read your posts. Thanks for checking in now and then - I note you are now up to 4 years smoke free and that is so amazing and you should be giving yourself major pats on the back. I am up to 79 days smoke free and in 4 years time I can only imagine how I will feel and the money I will have saved by staying smoke free. Would you mind putting a recent story up for all of us. Thanks
