Anybody know how long these vivid dreams last? I'm so over dreaming every night :| I'm only on week 1 day 7..these dreams are annoying me, how long roughly until they pass ??

if you don't think you can handle it talk to your doctor, well all the best.

Dont stress, they are not real. Although you wake up feeling like they are. Its better than waking up with fuzzy teeth and either short of breath or a sore throat.

Hey the dreams can be intense, just go with it, and try and see the funny side , because dreams are absurd anyway. I had snakes that turned into crocodiles running around the house, haha I decided to see the meaning of the dream as,the croc outside the house represented entrapment inside,a fear to leave something enclosed, appearing to be safe, (Snakes in there) it was obviously, smoking and the addictive thoughts, and emotions that keep you addicted, stuck such as fear, doubt.Stick with it, there will be obstacles along the way, smile though them. Good luck .
Thanks guys, really helps hearing your encouragement. although this morning whilst eating breakfast I noticed myself warming up and trying to hold myself from being sick ? I haven't had a cigarette for 4 days now and it's my fist day on week 2. I just feel sick, my mouth goes funny like that feeling before you're going to be sick. is this nausea ?

Hi Michelle
Are you taking Chamtix/ Champix? If so go and have a look at my stories right in the beginning. The dreams pass, the nausea you can combat with eating dry biscuits or drinking at least 2 glasses of water with your tablet. The funny taste also eventually disappears - all the symptoms become easier after the 1st month - HANG IN THERE its really worth all you are going through. I'm smoke free for 5 months now and was on Champix for the full 3 months. Ride the wave of whatever you are experiencing it will ease up.
Good Luck - its really worth every bit of suffering.

Feeling nauseous could well be champix if you're taking them. It's a well know side effect.

Hi Michelle, I don't think the dreaming content has anything to do with the withdrawal from smoking although the remembering of dreams is enhanced as the chemicals in cigarettes are no longer slowing down the brain functions.
I'm now at 635 days (saved over $14,000 well it's most probably a lot more as I'm still calculating on cigarette pricing of 2 years ago)- I was a cold turkey convert after over 50 years of smoking.
As some others have said Champix could be the reasons for the nausea, after all the nicotine in the product is a poison.
In summary try and stop the NRT and try to enjoy your dreams.

I'm on day 9, I have started dreaming a lot however I'm having nice dreams , but when I have to get up for work I'm so tired and I also have found everybody is annoying me , I can't stand people at the moment pretty bad when I work in customer service I'm sure these bad moods will pass ,at least I hope they do
