Hi all, back again with another quit attempt. After another raided attempt I had an appointment yesterday and found that the discusting habit is really starting to affect my health in more ways that 1. I have had asthma for the past year and severe gum disease. So today I'm back to day one, it was an easy decision to try again!I know I can do it, just have to stay strong and think of all the reasons to quit for good!

Hi Nic succeed,

So today you are starting your journey. Well done for making that step! As you've said you attempted quitting in the past so you have an idea how you will feel. Just remember the initial first week will be difficult but as long as you can power through it, along with the second week, that it WILL get easier. I am on day 19 (extremely proud of myself) and have been seconds away from lighting up again although the feeling of getting this far is so rewarding and I encourage you to get through the intense frustration of the initial quit period, and before you know it, you've gone a day without thinking about a cigarette, and then 2 days, etc. Just remember your reasons for quitting, and whether you stop now or in 1 or more year, you will still have to deal with the initial frustration of quitting. I really do wish you all the best and know you will be successful :)
