Electronic Cigarettes

Day 5 without analogue cigarettes. I've tried and failed a long list of quitting methods, and this is by far the easiest attempt I've made. Although electronic cigarettes are nowhere near as enjoyable as smoking, 'vaping' is a great substitute. I went with V2 Cig and I'm happy with the product.
I'll cut down on nicotine later. On its own, nicotine is only mildly addictive. Nicotine Replacement Therapy is approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration, however e-cigs are not. For now I'm content with giving up all the nasty carcinogens, carbon monoxide and tar.

it is good that you have stopped smoking as such. but to say nicotine is only midly addictive is a bit rash, nicotine addiction is the second-leading cause of death worldwide.the important causes of smoking related mortality are atherosclerotic vascular diseases such as histiocytosisx, respiratory bronchiolitis, obstructive sleep apnea and the list goes on. if current smoking trends continue, tobacco will kill 10 million people each year by 2020, anyway enough said it is good that you have stopped all the chemicals all the best.

You're confusing nicotine addiction with cigarette addiction. Nicotine addiction by itself is comparatively mild. Cigarettes are extremely addictive, and many non-nicotine factors contribute to the addictiveness. Yes, we go through nicotine withdrawal symptoms, but there are many other psychological triggers involved.

Nicotine in cigarette smoke affects mood and and performance and is the source of addiction to tobacco. it meets the criteria of a highly addictive drug, in that it is a potent psychoactive substance that induces euphoria, as an addictive drug, nicotine has 2 very potent effects, being both a stimulant and a depressant. thus a smoker can get going in the morning and chill out during the day, well have great day

Once again you're missing my point. I'm not saying nicotine is not addictive.
I'd argue my point myself, but I'm trying to f***ing quit smoking, so do some f***ing reading:

if you can not say anything to support your theory without resorting to fowl language don't say anything at all, this is an open forum, no need for an outburst like that.

Hi Hayaku, I love the "analogue cigarettes" description! Well done, nearly through the first week. You are doing so well.
