6 weeks...

Good morning from Ireland. I was 6 weeks smoke free yesterday. I think I may be over the worst of it at this stage, and  off the champix coming up to a month now.  I am enjoying the smoke free lifestyle it makes me smile to be still fighting . It has taken alot emotionally to be smoke free still, but by god I feel great !!! I have noticed weight has creeped in. I damaged my knee, and have been to physio recently and have ordered orthotics insoles my aligment is all off , feet problems. I have the dosh to get them now, and they will help my knee and help me in my running. I notice much better breathing overall that alone keeps me motivated. Also one of the reasons I smoked for was to 'help with anxiety' when  primary to helping anxiety is breathing correct so , I am glad I said good luck to those beggars of smokes , never to pass my hands again. Thank you to all .

Well done to you,you should be very proud of yourself ,it's amazing how well you can breathe In such a short time of not smoking,I have also noticed I have so much more energy, think I'm on day 83 but I still just take it a day at a time, think the cravings have gone but I find its more the habit.I am so glad I gave those horrid things away.well all the very best to you,we just need to stay strong :-)

Good luck Converse. 6 weeks, you are a champion. It is hard isn't it? At first it goes minute by minute, hours by hours. Then days by days, weeks by weeks (i am at this stage). The victory will come when there is no more counting. Stay strong.
