Hello everyone ,
I am kind of loosing count... but I am two days short of four weeks smoke free. Which is after flying by. I am off the champix a week today. I am feeling okay not much different than before. No regrets just keep going the way I am for now. I am still getting cravings they are intense is the only word. I was looking through an old jacket last night and I found two smokes ...... I was in a good head space so I broke them up and binned them. I know I will not smoke because it will take effort for me to get them, I do not drive and shops are a good bit away. My appetite is gone haywire altogether I feel empty alot of the time. Finding it hard to get satisfaction. But that is something I will have to control. Like tic tacs or something. I hope everyone is doing well.

hey well done converse.4 weeks is great,on one week myself, but 4 the first time sneaked one today and didnt enjoy it.now i am very upset with myself.seem to be craving them more and more the last day or two,and even bought an e-cig.so annoyed!!

Hey, Lollymarch, thanks for your comment, don't be too hard on yourself, anyone can have a slip up. I found the cravings come and go , but some are intense.... I find for me it is thinking, and saying to myself ..... I have come this far, there is no inner battle anymore, I am a non smoker now end of!!! I am a stubborn person in general so I am working it to my advantage. lol... I would turn it slip up into a learning curve , you have learned that smoking was not enjoyable.... and made you feel annoyed, you can do this... Chin up lollymarch, head up high and focus on each moment, hour by hour day by day.

Well done,4 weeks is fantastic, you go girl, one day at a time,I am on day 65,can hardly believe it myself,I still get cravings most days but now when I get one I just say go away I don't smoke,it does get easier as time goes on,we just have to hang in there and remember what a good thing we are doing for our bodies..

Great to see that you're off the chemical replacements it's all clear sailing from now on. What's the worst thing that can happen if you have a mint every now and again? A kilo or two which can be got rid of by a daily walk around the block, which is quite pleasant now as you're not so out of breath.
Well done Converse. One way to keep track of how far you have gone is by adding your quit date in the top area of "My Journey". There are tools there that help you work out the days and also how much you are saving.
As for your tic tacs, why not try the sugar free alternatives. I am addicted to these as well but at least I am not having a ciggie.
Once again, congrats to you and to everyone else too.

Nearly a month that's great, hope I can follow in your footsteps, missed you the past few days, glad your back your posts are very encouraging.

Well done Converse, Your doing really well..
The days just merge and you dont really notice how many days, the main focus is you stay smoke free.

Keep posting xx

First time on this site. A bit of background on my smoking - I am 56 years old and had my first smoke aged 16 at cadet camp wlhile at boarding school. I think I was addicted after one packet. So I guess I have been a smoker for 40 years . All other attempts at giving up have usually failed by lunch time. I have just passed 7 days without a smoke, I think I can keep going because I don't want to have to go through it all again.
