My Story

I have been smoke free for 25 days. I have been a smoker for 15 yrs. I have been wanting to quit for a long long time but always kept making excuses why I couldn't quit at that time. I finally got up went and picked up my last pack that had about 11 cigs left in the pack and broke them in half and threw them away. At first I wanted to cry but then I felt liberated. I knew that I would have to break them in half or I might be desperate enought to dig in the trash to get one!!!
The first week was the worst for me. I had a daily routine for when I would smoke. And having to break that and keep myself busy was so hard. But I just stuck with it. Another thing I do and it may seem silly but i printed off a monthly calandar sheet to fold up and put in my purse and each day I write "non smoker" on that day. When I need a little pick me up I take it out and look at it and see how far I have come.
