Thanks for all the messages in regards to my fail. You are all right! why did I keep that tobacco with me? well I did it to make me feel better, it was my way of coping. Anyway thanks, this is a great community of Non- Smokers, let's keep it that way.

stay sttrong Pauly, but be gentle with yourself..it took you a long time to become the smoker you WERE and it will take a while for you to become the non smoker yoy WILL be. Right now you are learning and gathering strength and know how, so take it all on board but keep on keeping on. As long as you keep not picking up the cigs you're winning.

Hi Pauly, I just read about your slip up. A really powerful position to take is not to dwell on the mistake, but how you deal with the mistake and learn from it. I kept the last cigarette in my last packet on the passenger seat of my car for my first 10 days of quitting. It served as a physical opponent for me and on day 10 I was satisfied I had beaten it and threw it away. So what is your plan now mate? Are you staying on the course?

Thanks for the comments, yes back on track. The idiot I am, I still have the tobacco but it is out in the garage. I now go out without it, but I truly never realised how hard the habit side of quitting is.

I want to go another 10 days before I comment any further.

Hi Pauly, I haven't read about your slip up yet but we are only human and it's good that you are back on track! Stay strong!
