i have been smoking for 6 years now. i have tried quitting several times (cold turkey max 21 days, patches max 2 days, champix max 6 days) and just 3 weeks ago i quit for a week. You feel like ur on top of the world and you achieved your goal but then sometimes you just wanna have a drag or 2 from ur mates smoke and the BANG before u know it, its hit you and then you start smoking again. I keep failing and all my hard effort just goes down the drain, i need to set myself a goal to quit for atleast 3 months so that i dont relapse. I start my quitting journey in 2 days so that I can save money and live a healthier life and not be dependent on these cancer sticks. Wish me luck

Dr Feelgood is right. You have to want to see it through. Maybe this time, knowing why you've failed in the past you will get through. You'll know you can't just have 1 or 2 drags from a mate. You have to BE a non-smoker. Good luck!

With champix you're ok to smoke for the first 2 weeks and then you quit in the 3rd week. I lasted 20 days cause i was going through some minor side-effects. Never touching champix again.

thanks guys i appreciate the encouragement.

When you boil it all down, just don't put a ciggy in your mouth - ever!
