Day 68 & not doing so well. I have constantly had a craving to smoke today. Came so close to buying a packet. Thank god i took ur advise & threw my last 3 cigs out. Wine is my crutch tonight,  Hope this is not going to be my new addiction. Why! after all this time do I feel so weak??

Margie,

Wine or any alcohol for that matter can weaken your resolve. Have you tried green tea?

Hi Margie, it happens. I think this is why you hear of so many people quitting for 3 months and then taking it up again. You think, what a waste of effort after three months! But it shows we can't let our guard down. Can't become complacent. Must be vigilant all the time and be expecting that little voice to appear at any moment. I've been having the same sort of cravings as you the past few days, I'm at day 76 today.

Hi ya Margie, yes u r not alone we have been, some still are going through the horrible craving syndrome. Its the little devil called "nicotine" playing mind games. Its been about 112 days since my last smoke i still get the odd craving doesnt last long on my mind. I found having plenty of fresh fruit, gum and mints helped me.Stay strong u can do it

try adding soda water to your wine, its not as strong and doesnt make you feel so dried out. I now can have a wine and not look for the smokes, that doesnt worry me,the only thing that worries me is the stale smell of smoke,it makes me feel sick.

Thanks everyone, it helps knowing that others are either going through or have gone through the same & remained smoke free. I'll battle on in the hope that it will get easier soon. Maybe I need to go back on the patches.
