Trying to quit when living with a smoker

I can not praise nicotine chewing gum enough. It made me feel sick in the beginning until I found out that you only chewed for a few seconds when you felt a craving and then tucked the gum under your tongue. I was a heavy smoker and I live with a smoker. I found that chewing stopped the cravings and gave me something to do. When I was stressed instead of reaching for the cigarettes I popped in a piece of gum and it worked. I have now been a non-smoker for 7 years and my other half still smokes.

I can empathise with that, my wife still smokes, so do most of my friends, doesn't really bother me, they just stink and don't interest me (the ciggies not the people!!!)
