I quit 6 times last year.

This year is going to be the time that i get rid of those horrible, harmful, expensive smokes. Last year I attempted at least 6 times, and even after 3 months without a smoke i went back to them, I have had a rocky start this time as well, as I started quitting on the 5 of January, but have had the odd smoke when ever I have had a drink and I went through 2 packs on Australia day while drinking . I have now reached 6 days without one single smoke. Last saturday night sitting on the veranda of the local club I decided that the next time I have a beer I WILL NOT weaken and I WILL NOT have a smoke, well the day has come to test me on that. I have a friend arriving from Queensland and I am sure we will be having a few drinks, I am having a lot of cravings and I keep them at bay with patches and lozengers, its just that once the alcohol kicks in I find myself caring less about my resolve to quit, if I can get through tonight I can get through anything. What do you all do to help the cravings while drinking?

uhmmm ask ur friends not to smoke near u... pace, keep telling yourself u CAN do it... YOU CAN REACH A FULL WEEK :)

Think about the dissapointment in yourself that you will have in the morning.
This works really well as the further along you go without a smoke you dont want to ever go back to square one!
Make yourself accountable to YOU!!!!!!
