Dire Advice From the Doctors
So I've had A minor stroke... And I'm only 24 years old
It all started with a head ache then dizzyness then a tingling sensation in my arms and face... The doctor seems to think I'll be fine. But of course the number 1 advice was to quit smoking.
I'm still going through tests to see what has actually caused it but the doctor seems to think it was a slight heart murmur and increased blood pressure + smoking for 4.5 years. Scary? I haven't picked up a cigerrette since being told... and that was just under 24 hours ago.
So the long road starts. The cravings will kick in... but my life is worth more then $21.50 a packet.
Before you pick up that cigerrette think about what you are actually doing... stay the course it will do you the world of good.

Good luck Mitchy. You can do it. Good luck with your test results also. It will be a long road but the rewards will be massive.
hi mitchy you have a hard little journey in front of you and dont give in no matter how hard it gets, in my case i found the second third and fourth week the hardest, with me i had a heart attack nov last year and thats what stopped me from smoking , i smoked 25 a day for about 20 years and for me giving them up was hard and it actually caused me to go into a depression the doctors say that after having a heart attack that can happen but anyway good luck mate keep on going.

Man that is sad ,I hope you beat the enemy ,(smokes)and as you are a young fellow I hope the future is nothing but good for you ,all the best mate (p.s read my post if you live in sydney can pASS ON INFO to you that is helping me now ) you do not have to stress over this.
