Whoa a Difficult Saturday from Nowhere
Hi All
Well I am not exactly sure what happened on Saturday morning just past - but instead of day 36 it felt like day 3, I wanted a ciggie extremely badly and really thought I was going to have to give in. Walking did not help, water did not help it was in my head and would not get out. I ended up phoning my mum who said just get through today, maybeyou are having your six week test at five weeks.
Anyway, skip to post Saturday morning and going for a massage and a haircut (this made me stop thinking about smoking) and then meeting friends in a beer garden for a late lunch. Well, I was like a new person. Was not even thinking of the stupid things. And I was with one smoker, one non smoker and one quit just a week after me. Quit a week after me, was saying I cannot believe how many people are smoking. I was surprised as that had been me - nnoticing smokers here there and everywhere and I had to turn around and look and say oh yeah. I did not notice. And I hadn't notice - what a great thing to happen.
So for what it's worth the lesson I found at the weekend was you can be kicking along nicely and then get a huge wake up call that says you are still not through the hard yards yet but it can turn around in minutes and you can be doing fine again.
So today it's day 38 - and just quietky was a bit shocked at my Saturday morning but proud I did not cave and then a bit stoked about my non awareness of smokers Saturday afternoon.
Hang in there all.

Hahahaha Yep a good week after my kick up the arse LOl
How strong is the craving!!!
You did so well to curb it, I think I need your Mums number to ring when I have a bad day she sounds like a gem!
I must admit I find it hard to go to a pub at the moment as the smell is overpoweringly strong and makes me feel abit sick!!
Day 38 WOW WOW WOW my kids have been following and cheering you on and both say congrats(they actually ask how you are going lol)
So Today 38 days and to morrow 39 and we can do them all!!!
Well done winner walker and hope your dad is recovering well!!

Keep goin' Winnie, dunno what else to say but I'm there in spirit, only just completed day 10 so I'm only a quarter of the way to where you are.
