Everyday is a test!

Well I am at 45 day, go me! However it amazes me that I really havent had any major cravings over the last 2 weeks and then BAM! Yesterday I wouldve paid $20 for just one smoke, I was telling myself I wont buy a whole packet I find someone to just sell me one.WTF?????
I didnt give in but believe me was close! I am putting it down to extra stress of buy a house lol
Today is a new day and will continue to beat the odds but just wanted you all to know you can be smooth sailing and then a huge wave comes along and threatens to knock you of the boat!
Wel ldone to all these amazing people, WWalker just wow, Kathyrose my hero for getting rid of Eric, Melanie keep it up but alittle confused with the facial hair and your name lol, JoC My Time buddy, Firegod the king! BLUESUZI please let us know how your doing!!
Oh Tiger, I am SO GLAD that you did not give in. That would not have been a great thing to do. Stress, bah - you can do it! Just think when you move house it will be a smoke free home. SO PROUD of you for not giving in. 45 days is mega fantastic and as you know an entire 11 days ahead of me.
You know what though, my mum gave up more than 20 years ago and she said beware 6 weeks I still remember it. And 45 days is slap bang in the middle of 6 weeks. Her wards were 'I went and bought a pack it got so bad and twisted the pack in my hands for an hour and then threw them away, if I had one that would have been it and I would still be smoking today'. She then went on to say after that, it was like boom and gone any craving anything. So only 3 dyas until you are THERE!
You crack me up re Eric. He just has a different way I think (albeit a bit confronting) and I thikn you will find 'Melanie' is Meanie! Ha ha! Come on tiger 45 days and a HUGE win from yesterday keep it up. Only reason I have done so well is you are making sure i stick to it. Yeah come on Bluesuzi! :)
We are all doing brilliantly. I am actually mega impressed with all of us.

you guys have been worrying about me havent you!? Bless i am going good despite the fact the other day i didn't wear my patch and nearly ate the couch because i was snacking all day - hunger craving same same??????
Anyway enough about me - TIGER you are my hero at the moment i had a mega craving the other day and thought i would have killed a man for a cigarette - I spent 20 minutes sucking on a lollypop and then chewed the stick to pieces. I was at work and couldn't escape - it sucked. So yay for you in getting past it. The cig moster can strike at anytime so lucky we have each other to lean on. Sorry I haven't logged on i have been super busy with work but it is better now. Keep going mate - I am cheering for you!!!!!@

Can't believe what I've just read tiger. I found yesterday one of the hardest too! I thought I just can't do this, I'm sick of fighting etc. But stuck with it. Mainly because you'd said I better not have one. So, thanks. If I was doing this by myself I may just have given in. It really helps knowing you'd be letting others down. I had actually tried to go without patches, thought I was ready but obviously not. I thought of rocky-rush who has told me to be patient. I'm learning!!!! Patch on today and all is good in the world again. Keep up the great effort.

Hi tiger 74. Me King???? Hardley! I have my moments. You should be putting yourself on the throne. Well done on staying quit.

I'm in awe at all of you, Just made day six, but I'm sure I can keep going, can't tell you how much strength I've gained from reading all of your stories.
I have to admit, not smoking has made me alot tougher at work and being meaner has actually worked well for my clients cos I haven't taken any crap from anyone! See the craving monster has it's uses very occasionally.

Thanks by the way Winnie for pointing out the "melanie' thing as far as I know abstension from nicotine doesn't alter your sex LOL
