e-cig helped

hi all
it's been 15 days now since i quit after 25 years of smoking on and off. i used to smoke about 10 a day on average and enjoyed it for the most part. during those 25 years, i spent 6 years smoking just 1 day per week and another 4 years not smoking cigarettes at all, as well as a number of years smoking cannabais instead of cigarrettes.
the last time i gave up was 2005 after my dad died and i went 4 years not smoking cigs but then i stopped smoking weed and found mysyelf compensating with cigarettes. i never really noticed much effect on my health but was obviously aware it was doing damage and occasionally wished i was not a smoker.
anyway, about a month ago i was shown an e-cig by someone i met at a wedding and was intrigued. i did a little research then ordered 1 online. it came soon after and i started smoking it and i enjoyed it. it definitely helped me resist temptation and i went 6 days without smoking.
i then started again and smoked for a week leaving the e-cig alone but after going to a funeral of a friend who died young, 56, from a heart attack, i decided to get back on the e-cig and off the others.
anyway, it has been 15 days now and i still get the odd craving but i just grab my e-cig and all is well. i actually don't use it that much anymore - the 1st week i used it a lot, probably more than i ever smoked but figured no worries it is better than real smokes. by the way, the type i have is nicotine free but you still get that feeling of smoking and it looks like real smoke too. it is water vapour though.
this may sound like an ad for these things but it is not. there are many brands to choose from and i have no interest in any company making or selling these. i just thought i'd let you know i think they are pretty helpful.
