My will power experience

Hi All,

I smoked for around 40 years, never a heavy smoker but never considered quitting. After all I loved smoking! Just over 2 years ago the Optometrist found a funny spot in my eye and sent me to a retinal specialist. I was diagnosed with early stages of Macular Degeneration and he recommended that I stopped smoking to reduce the risk of fully developing the condition. In 3 days I gave up the cigarettes for good.

The only thing I did was to be aware that I would have cravings but they would not last more than a few seconds. I am happy to tell you all that it really worked. The cravings started decreasing in intensity and frequency and now I rarely remember that I smoked for so many years! This is an achievement I am extremely proud of and I wanted to share this with everyone that is thinking of quitting! We can all do it! It is only up to us and I don't think anyone needs nothing more than will power!

I am very proud of myself!

Happy and successful quitting to all of you!
