Day Five

I am on day five and I got candies to suck on or chew, including some lollipops and some red vines. Still super challenging! I feel tired all the time and my brain is not firing on all cylinders. Keep forgetting things and making silly mistakes. I never take naps, but today I wanted to take one.

I think that many people feel like that while the mind and the body both make adjustments. We used to get jolts of dopamine, a happy chemical which we miss until we find ways to replace it. The smell of lavender, the taste of chocolate, the excitement and satisfaction of learning or doing new things , as well as hugs and doing things that make you happy can all go a long way in helping you get your quota of dopamine. Be happy and proud of your your success so far and give yourself little rewards, and/or plan for a big one with all the money you will be saving. Look forward to your freedom!
