Hi I think the best way is to just not buy them anymore. You could go cold turkey or use nicotine replacement but for myself I find cold turkey the best way after trying patches. Replacement therapy seems to just extend the agony of quitting. As someone said it’s better to dive in to cold water than inch in bit by bit. Once you have quit it can mean you get cravings but it depends on your determination and willpower. I think the cravings are sort of inevitable because of the depth of the addiction. I smoked for over 35 years and I have had a huge struggle. It’s taken time and effort but I’ve tried hard because it’s worth it to stop. Your health for one thing will be so much better, there are heaps of benefits. So just focus on those. Good Luck

After smoking for over 50 years I have decided to call it quits. I do use the patch which I find helps me a lot. It’s only been 5 days but I haven’t had any cravings which is amazing. I also chew the nicotine gum occasionally and add one normal gum which makes the taste a lot better. Good luck
