Instant Gratification

Hi All,
I've been struggling lately with coping with stress and I often rely on the comfort that instant gratification such as smoking, YouTube etc. provides.
I want to dig deep and prove to myself that I can do better with discipline and a plan.
I've never formally reached out for any assistance, but I'm ready to improve all facets of my life by foregoing instant gratification.
I just want to see my remaining potential, I don't want to watch it burn away.
Good luck everyone.

Oops, posted before i was done.....I'm on day 54 and this last week things have gotten SO much better. Also I've been reading Allen Carrs book, Easy way to stop smoking. This book has helped me tremendously! He explains that we stress and want to smoke but actually smoking is causing the stress because all it really is, is just the yearning for a smoke! Stay strong...you got this!

Just think why we really smoke. It is an addiction and we smoked to head off "cravings", to get a hit of dopamine and find comfort in a familiar act.
We smoked in celebration, and in grief. Only in our minds was it anything at all. When we change how we see smoking, we can then truly find the desire to quit smoking.
Believe you can quit smoking , think positive, and reap all the benefits that await you.
