Why did I give up

I have wanted to quit for years
I just kept saying that when I give up I confirmed that I’m getting old and that I would give up the only thing that was mine
I had started down the track to look for something to do for myself to replace smoking
My health had not been the best
I had Covid, Flu X3 hay fever all winter
I end up in hospital last Monday 7/11 unable to breath
I end up with a Covid like flu ( all the symptoms of Covid but tested negative)
I was released from hospital on Thursday
I now am on patches with Nicolette cool drops to help when the craving is bad
This time around my mine is in the right space and I have made this experience all about me (so I’m doing something for me)

I beg to differ, but you did not own smoking, the addition owned you. Perhaps you have finally stopped making excuses and want better for yourself. You are worth it you know!
The act of smoking became a habit, and the drug nicotine an additive substance which ruled us for years. When you can finally see it that way, it will be much easier to say "Good Riddence!"
Start looking at the good in quitting smoking and know
that you are really losing nothing. Your future is looking much better already.
We can do this with positive thinking.
