Hi. I began smoking when I was 16. I first quit 6 months before getting pregnant at the age of 30. I did not smoke for 4 years. It was my most successful quit. I used the patch and online support. After 4 years, I began to have personal issues and smoked here and there. Long story short- I have been smoking on and off for awhile now. Within that time I had a 2 year quit. Ugh- then a major life stressor- and went back to smoking here and there. I am now 55 and really want to quit for good. Reflecting on my experiences- I realized the best quit I had included an online support group. I am planning on using a low dose nicotine patch and the IQuitsystem for support. I know how important it is to stop. I am much happier when I am not smoking- and being healthy, but I definitely need help to get over the hump.
