schedule 31 Jan 2022

Hi Everybody, I just wanted to say hello. I’ve been reading your stories and experiences for the last 9 months as I considered quitting. Today is my day 1. I have smoked for 35 years. I quit 10 years ago for a full year and gradually slipped back. I’ve been a closet smoker for 9 years. I am totally embarrassed about it. I don’t smoke at home or in work or in my car. I only smoke when I have an opportunity to be alone and I can cover up the smells afterwards. That’s so stupid, I’m only fooling myself I think. I have nobody to support me because my husband, sons, friends, work colleagues are all unaware of my habit. Today is my day, I’m determined and I’m going cold turkey. Thanks for all your stories, they’ve helped me make the decision.

We are your support now, and we know that you CAN succeed. Seeing others do it makes it more compelling and doable. Shed that shame and quilt and find your freedom like so many others....
