schedule 20 Dec 2021

I have been addicted to nicotine lozenges for ten years. They are making me terribly ill. I have made my quit date for Wednesday. Does anyone have any tips?

People do get hooked on NRT's thinking that they need them just as they needed cigarettes. It may help you to know that the hardest part of quitting smoking is not the addiction to nicotine but the psychological dependence on the act itself. You made up your mind to quit smoking and you did! Congratulations on making up your mind and following through.

Nicotine addiction can be beat by never feeding the nicoman again. Hits of nicotine bring pleasure to a sensor which requires dopamine to make it feel good. Replace the dopamine with chocolate, smell of lavender, exercise, and other things that make you feel good. Nicotine is out of the system in just 72 hours or so. Very, very quickly is ration to the time to adjust to not smoking. Suck candies instead and replace the act with something harmless. Nicotine withdrawal is really barely imperceptible unless you make it so.

Take the final step to total freedom. You can do it !
