i’m under 21 years old and picked up smoking from peers at work. i couldn’t stop because it suppressed so many feelings of stress and made me feel better. but now i’m starting to feel sick from it. i want to live a healthier life and make my family proud and let them see the change in myself. i hate myself for picking it up, and disappointing everyone around me. this is day 1

Welcome rme. Sounds like you are talking yourself into quitting smoking. Seriously read a bunch of posts from this community. We have all been where you are now. Read and learn. Set a date and just stop. Get your mind into thinking "I can do this". I think it's best to stop first thing in the morning where you already have hours under your belt. I strongly advise to take it 1 hour, 1 day at a time. Soon, those hours will add up then you don't want to cave and start it all over again. You can do this!! Many have. You are no different than us. Stay close to this community. We are behind you and want to help you.

The odd thing is that it all turns out to be a lie in the end. rme my suggestion would be if truly want to quit smoking than quit and at the same time look into learning some new skills in addressing and managing stress and I recon that will automatically set you on a path that will help make you feel better 🙌❤️🙏
