Hi Everyone.

I've been here before over a year ago.

Quit and started and quit and started again.

I had enough arguments with myself about this and give myself a break.

I've had some time to have a plan set for this next quit.

I no what I need to do and to get through triggers.

I'm about to smoke my last one and jump on the wagon again.

Well done to all you non smokers and people who are just quitting.

We can do this. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Hello again Gemma, you just need to learn more about your own determination this time around, your top reasons should remain with you daily, and as for starting again after some time, I thought I had the desire to begin with, I learned one thing that I lacked....this was a strong belief in myself. The next thing was NOPE (not one puff ever) spoken loudly or quietly every day, after 3 years, I still say this to myself every day. Please post again I am with you on this one.

schedule 1 Sep 2021

Hello Gemma23. I am fairly new (just over 4 weeks) and I have read some of your past posts. You have done remarkably well at times!!! You can do it again!! Leeann, Jess and softly40 have great advise, but I think Red has summed it up in a nutshell. YOU can do it if you WANT it and you are torturing yourself by stop / starting all the time. You really are. I am very familiar with the stop / start and I can admit, it is needless torcher until I finally said, I am serious, THIS IS IT!!! There is no easy button, but you can make things easier for yourself by coming to terms with the situation. YOU have the key to your future. Either you can be a druggie, bowing down to the nicotine addiction, or you can be strong and FIGHT it. You just have to really QUIT once!! I was in your shoes and I know if I can do it, YOU can do it.

I will be passing on positive vibes your way. Keep up the good work and continue one hour, one day at a time. As softly always says: NOPE (Not One Puff Ever)!!!

You are a fighter Gemma. You will win with that kind of determination.

Welcome back! You are a pro at quitting the nicotine addiction, but still think of the cigarettes fondly. When your friend lights up you want one. You really should feel sorry for them and grateful that you have made the decision to quit. Or feel nothing at all. I still went out on breaks with my smoking buddies. I don't judge but they did not induce me to smoke. Rather, they kind of looked wistfullly at hubby and I, wanting to quit too.

I know you can do this Gemma. We are all cheering for you!
