I used to be in really great shape and I have been smoking for the past 9 years and I want to find my way back not just for myself, but my family and my girlfriend and I always need any help and any way to get out of my funk to where I can live without fear and live my best possible life with my loved ones and any friends I make along the way!

Well today you made new friends, and if you read our stories and do some research you will arm yourself with the DESIRE to quit and a lot of useful tips and facts. Did you know that learning among other things, raises dopamine which is flared up with each puff of a smoke. We miss that "oomph". Chocolate, the smell of lavender, and other enjoyable things like hugs and kisses also provide us dopamine.

Stop fearing the quit. There are lots of hugs and kisses coming your way. Lots of learning and making of friends.

Cigarettes were never your friend. Don't mourn their departure. Treat them like you might treat anyone who did you wrong and betrayed you. You don't want them in your life any longer. You will never see them in the same way again. You are OVER THEM.

Instead of moping, keep busy and look forward to the future.

Cut caffeine in half when you cut nicotine. Nicotine dulled the effects of caffeine. Jitters or anxiety might otherwise be attributed to a withdrawal symptom whereas it is simply the effect of too much caffeine. We tend to make other changes like diet and exercising when we quit smoking. Gas, strained muscles and some other discomforts might be attibuted to other things.

Fear prevents us from doing what we need to do. We came up with a new acronym for FEAR

FORGET EXCUSES/accept reality

Being a non-smoker is wonderful. You can be one again. ENVISION it. DESIRE It!

Hi there gingy. I can totally relate to experiencing fear as I have had it in many forms and circumstances. It has been quite crippling at times. Music is one of the things that can help me through stuff and a great song I have enjoyed and has helped me is a song by Zach Williams called fear is a liar. You can google it when you have some free time if you like. Well wishes with it all and stick with us. 🦁🙏❤️
