Just started to quit

I have just started my journey towards a smoke free tomorrow so that I can breathe well and be healthy. I would love to share my progress every day and I hope I will be able to complete this jpurney

Welcome Divs, you will never regret your decision, let us know what method you are planning to use, I have tried many times and was eventually on Champix which has no "Nicotine" attached to it. It is on script only.
As Red has stated you need to work out the "want" first, and we are here to support you on your way. You are already a winner Congratulations.

Hi. I suggest that while you are still smoking, you look at it in a different way.
I'll bet that each one is sacred and you are enjoying every drag and savoring it.
WRONG.....wrong way to think Take it to a quiet spot. Just you and it. Taste the poison....you can you know. Stand up, and do nothing but smoke. See what a waste of time. it is. See how it's feedings are demands on your time and your freedom. Now take out two $20 's and think about rolling it up and lighting fire to it. I bet you can't, yet you know that there will be hundreds and thousands more $20 bills you might as well burn if you remain a smoker.
Train your mind now while you smoke, to think of it differently. Don't miss it when it's gone, be anxious to be on with the journey and rid of that albatross. The psychological journey lasts longer than getting over the drug (nicoline) addiction, but only if you allow it.
Make up you mind to quit and DO it, no maybe about it.

Hi Divs,
I agree with Red-67, It doesn't have to be a journey. The word linger comes to my mind when I think of quitting smoking as a journey. A lot of quitters give me the impression that there is a long psychological element to smoking. If you feel you are missing something precious then this will linger until your thinking shifts. Smoking is a killer, it disrupts the nervous system so the smoker lights another one to relieve the uneasiness and the cycle goes on. All smokers are caught in this little trap. Smoking is not precious, it is evil and if the quitter realizes from the start that they are gaining many things by quitting and purging themselves from this evil drug than there is no lingering at all. Each day is a win when the quitter learns these simple truths. I believe that what each person believes about the cigarette governs how long the lingering/journey will last. MY personal tip-"you have nothing to lose & everything to gain". Quitting is all about gaining lots & not losing/missing anything. Cheers I wish you well.
