Welcome Natalie, Lets make this your last time quit. Please practice NOPE (not one puff ever) as many times as you like during the day and evening. It works.

Practice deep breathing as many times as you like too. Check out any Videos or books which will help you learn as you go along, and keep close to this forum.

The video which helped me was called "How to grow to be a happy non smoker by NASIA DAVOS" ....TEDxUniversityofPiraeus... another reading tool is Alan Carr who was instrumental in helping others on this forum. Come back again to read often and post as much as you like.

Welcome Natalie! Get excited about the new nonsmoking you sweetie! Everything is a reframe and your feelings will come and go but stay centered and never question your decision no matter what. Smoking never made anything better. I'm only on day 10 after a zillion quit attempts in the past but I'm just focused on getting through each day as a nonsmoker. Make sure you give yourself little rewards along the way and immerse yourself in learning how to love being a nonsmoker. Posting here helps too.

Great advice already given. Please read through them again and again. We need to undo all the brainwashing we accepted over the years. Yes, it is an addiction, but we are stronger than the addiction. Every quit is part of the learning process, but most important is the DESIRE to quit and the BELIEF that you CAN QUIT.

No , IT does NOT have to be hard to quit smoking. Again, we have been duped into believing that and using it as an EXCUSE! We have quit smoking any you can too. It is time to BELIEVE that. LEARN by reading our stories and adopting the mindset to look at smoking in a different way.

Change your mind, Change your Life! I and others have found it easy with the right mindset.

Hi Natalie. I still like my quit method. I found it on this site. A post from a guy called Big Jon. He called his craving Margaret Thatcher. I thought that was a good idea. Tried to think of a better name but there wasn't one... So, Margaret Thatcher it was and still is. Early days, weeks and months I had to use expletives to tell her where to go as she taunted me and tried to get me to light up even before I was out of my bed. That went on for ages. Worked a treat. Had I wanted a cigarette I would have had one. No one tells me what to do so Margaret failed in her attempts and I emerged the victor. Honestly, the times she told me to have just one as a reward was incredible. She would somehow invade my sleep and have me dreaming I as chain smoking. Often woke up in shock wondering if the dream had been real. l hope you find whatever works for you.
