I'm new to this.

Hi, I just joined the group here and hope I can be as successful as some of you have been. I'm actually seeking advice on the natural types of herbs that I may be able to use to help me quit.
I can't use any of the OTC or prescribed products, as I have tried them a found to be allergic to whatever is in them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi K950.
Depending where you are from, I have heard that CBD oil can help if it is available in your area.
I quit cold turkey, while i didn't plan on quitting, I wanted to better my health and lungs in particular. So I tried a lung cleanse made of natural ingredients. Boiled onions, ginger and turmeric. I took it straight, about an ounce morning and night with a spoonful of honey as a chaser. Around the eighth day, I woke up and didn't feel like having a cigarette right away so I waited , out of curiosity I found a quit smoking site and decided to give it a go. I set a quit date, I cut down and found that was more difficult than just quitting. I kept with the recipe for another batch ....and got a total of 22 days worth. Then I added ginger and turmeric to chicken broth or soup to enjoy its many benefits.
Quitting is not just about the nicotine, although ginger is supposed to help nausea and cravings, you have to WANT to quit. You are here, so I gather you do . Learn by reading our stories and everything you can . It is the mind you need to master. Nicotine is a drug and you have been influenced by it and the action of smoking a cigarette for many years. We can break the cycle when we understand it and when we finally believe that we can quit. It really does not have to be difficult.
Sure , getting rid of the addiction should be the part your body may react to for a few days, but it is the mind that needs the most help letting go.....
I had no cravings 3 days after my last cigarette. I wanted to enjoy life free of the worry of ill health, enjoy my money and to enjoy being free of having to sneak off to get my fix. Not to mention, my breathing improved ....no more breathlessness, my skin is supple, my clothes and breath don't reek.
Don't think exclusively in the terms of quitting smoking, but more in desiring the freedom of being a non-smoker. You can do it. Put your mind to it. Think Positive!

Did I mention that I jumped ahead of my quit date and later used ginger and turmeric added to warm almond milk) to cut down on the salt in soup. A better choice. Don't forget that turmeric needs pepper to react to its curcumin.

Thank you for the great information. I'll definitely put it to good use. And thank you for your support.

Try sunflower seeds.
1) They Greatly reduce an urge to smoke
2) Hand to mouth movement mimics smoking that all recent quitters miss so much.
Good luck, cheers and practice NOPE mantra - not one puff ever.

Not really herbal but I’m using a 0 nicotine e cigarette pen thing. My brain seems to think it’s a smoke until I take a puff and it can’t find the nicotine lol

Thanks Aaron, I'll keep that in mind. As well as all the other great advice I'm getting here. 25 Oct. 20 is my target date.
