Quitting after 59 years

Hi I am a newbie here and am pleased to announce I stopped smoking mid April 2020. The Covid 19 was my reason beacause the only time I left home was to go and buy cigarettes. So with only 6 cigarettes left in a pack and another trip looming to buy more ciggies I decided NO today I stop smoking, so finished off the pack I had. Have not had another cigarette since. I do though vape and this has stopped any withdrawal symptoms for me. My vape ciggies had bene barely used sitting neglected in a drawer for almost 18 months!!
So the fear of Covid 19 gave me the incentive to quit and I must say I feel so much better no coughing whatsoever.

Good job dizzy nanny. While giving up smoking cigarettes is most beneficial because of harmful tar and additives, the nicotine addiction itself should be next on your agenda. While vaping could be used as an NRT effectively, the idea is to be free. Free of having to feed nicotine to our systems on a timetable to feel normal. Being a non=smoker gives us total freedom. You can do it.

Congratulations dizzy nanny, make this your last quit now, NOPE (not one puff ever)

Hi dizzy nanny. Better late than never. Glad you have put the addiction in the past. Enjoy being in charge of your destiny.
