Hey everyone, I'm new to this community and just wanna sgare my story. I've tried quitting several times in the past and tge longest I've went was 2 months. Every time I started again was because of booze tge craving was just to big and eventually I will give in. I've been smoking/vaping for about 5 years. I'm on day 4 now and quitting with the nicotine patch. This time I've also decided to quit drinking cause I can't control my cravings when I'm having a beer. The patch is really helping me and I think I couldn't have done it without the patch and also reading all of your stories really motivates me and for that I wanna thank each and everyone of you for sharing your story. 🙂🙂

Hi Gerdus, welcome to "I Can Quit", yes i found the booze unhelpful when i first quit as well, good idea to stay away from it and put your quit first. It's good that you are still trying after a few attempts, 2 months off smoking is a good achievement and you can definitely build on it. I think my success came from continually trying again after failed attempts, i seemed to learn something each time and became a little stronger each time. Anyway good luck with your quitting journey.

Sounds like you are serious. You have learned your weakness and will move past it this time. Joining a quit group gave me confidence and motivation. I never thought that I could quit, but wanting to and realizing it was quite possible made it so, even easy.
