Day 25 on Champix

Today is day 25 on Champix and Day 24 of last cigarette. Problems I face is stomach cramps and nausea but it all goes away after an hour. I am generally an anxious person so started controlling my mind wandering off to overthinking since I am on Champix. My main trigger is feeling bored. Whenever I am alone at home or I have nothing to do i feel like going for one. So I started watching all the latest movies to distract myself and so far it has helped me. Only twice I felt a sudden crazy urge for going for one and both times I was having argument (partner and family), I had to pause and talk to myself in third person :-D to keep me out of it.. So now i try to shy away from arguments since quitting is far more important for me than proving myself right at this stage.
I am very impressed of lasting this long. I still don't hate the smell of smoking to be honest (that's something I read a lot around but didn't happen to me). I do get very vivid dreams sometimes me smoking but i generally brush it off.
I had a major panic attack and sleepless night the first day I doubled my dose (1mg) but I saw my GP next day; and upon her recommendation I took 1 pill only next few days and it did the trick.
I say Champix is very helpful but at the end I had to decide myself I wanted to quit and remind myself every time urge comes in. Another silly thing I do is carry my Champix pack with me almost everywhere so from corner of my eye I can see it.
This forum has helped me a lot, specially in earlier days I was reading you guys' stories extensively and feeling like part of a community, so thank you for that. I still come here every few days to see how is it going for you guys and it gives me courage to keep going as well. So THANK YOU all..! <3>3>

You are doing really well Talal, I was on Champix just half the dose but it still worked for me. I agree that to let any confrontation go for the time being. It is a lesson of patience which we need more than before.
Anything you do to help you overcome any feelings or urges that you experience is not silly, it is the opposite. The only problem I can see is that at some stage you will have to get off the Champix, and it might be wise to use another Stop Sign instead of the Champix packet. It is early days yet so you have plenty of time to think this one through. Well done for 24 days, 25 days tomorrow

Champix helps to get off the addiction of nicotine, but letting go of habits ingrained so deep is the hard part. This psychological part is won in the mind, and a forum such as this was invaluable to me in this regard. Also Allen Carrs book clarifies smoking itself and how we got addicted to a vile drug. The truth makes it easier to say N.O.P.E
