Needing advice

My partner and I both smoked, he said he wanted and needed to stop so I offered to stop with him. We picked a date and took a week off work so we could support each other and find new habits to replace smoking. The day came and we did it...we got to 9 days smoke free and he needed to go home to go back to work. Today I am 92 days smoke free, he got to 9 days, he stopped and bought smokes on the way home. He is still smoking and my will power to remain smoke free is dwindling when I’m around him...please help as I don’t want to smoke.

Hi Suec. Congratulations on your journey so far, you're doing great!
It sounds like you became more determined to quit smoking than your husband did and I have to wonder if he also joined this forum. I see that you joined mid May, and I have always said that joining a support group, learning about yourself and nicotine is important. No one can tell you more than Allan Carr and I also wonder if you took the initiative to read the free link that i posted.
Only you can find what motivates you to quit. Only you can retrain your mind to a new way of thinking and coping to make the adjustments needed to complete the journey, and just as importantly, to maintain it. Review your reasons, your goal, list the changes, reward yourself for a great job and be proud! Note the difficult times and plan a course of action.
The greatest reward is the freedom. Not only for yourself but for others. As we achieve, we also inspire and plant seeds of belief in others. My husband and daughter both became non-smokers after i did. Your husband may follow suit and things will get easier if he does, but also, even if he doesn't. Trying to set him free may be a new motivation to keep you going. You can do this so why turn back now? What could possibly lure you back to that ball and chain of filth and deception?
Knowledge is power. The truth shall set you free!

Good work Suec, 92 days awesome, I am only 21 days but feeling strong. My husband smokes in the house, very heavy smoker about 400 cigs a week. So far I just ignore his smoking and continue to empty his ashtray at every opportunity. So wishing you luck and stay strong
