Things that make you go mmmmm

This time 1budha you have plenty of experience to counteract being broke, as to the lonely aspect, this forum can alleviate those feelings for sure. A different perspective on being broke and lonely has probably meant that you treated your cigarette as your friend as something to have for your own. This is not a good substitute Nicotine is the little monster that hides away inside of you no matter what good intentions you might have and you obviously have good intentions. I have given up many times and have learnt more about myself in the process simply because no recognition that I knew about at the time was that Nicotine is the addictive substance and it loves to get fed. You will get plenty of support and advice here and in the meantime read other stories and experiences. Are you on any aids to help you or are you going cold turkey?

Past quits are just that...the past. Take what you learned from them. What caused you to pick up the habit again. What could you have done instead?
Welcome to this forum with people with stories and concerns and struggles just like yours. We have been there , and we are willing to share and be there for you, just like a friend. The first piece of advice i would give you is to read and learn about nicotine addiction, and realize that cigarettes are not your friend, nor have they ever been. See them for what they are, and how much they have cost you over a course of time. How many dollars, how much health, maybe even relationships.
Learning the right mindset enables you to embrace this journey rather than fear it. That makes it so much easier . Looking forward to something rather than dreading it can't be anything but positive, and positive actions result in positive results.
It is to your advantage to choose to be healthier and wealthier than to be told you must forsake your friend. I sense that you are finally realizing that. We know that you can quit smoking. Believe and it will happen!

Thanks for the pick me up but 37 years I've been smoking and that's a long time
