Quitting

Hi all,
I have decided to quit smoking today. I have tried multiple times before but have never really have it everything I had because I am young and think I can quit whenever I want before its too late.
I have hid my smoking from my fiancé for years I can go days and weeks without smoking if I am on holidays which is frustrating for me because I should just stop all together but I have realised I can’t because I am addicted.
I don’t want to wait until it’s too late.
Wish me luck!

If you have hidden this from your fiancé, you must be ashamed. Quit now and you will lose that shame and gain some self worth, wins all round.

You have us all here to support you Teege. I have tried many times, hoping this will be my last. It doesn't matter how many times you have tried its just a matter of keeping off cigarettes altogether, Just think how relaxed you will feel when you don't have to hide anymore this is a great incentive to quit because lets face it, society doesn't empathise with you either.
There is only one nasty person here and that is Nicotine it loves to keep you enslaved time after time, it doesn't discriminate on age either once you have just "that one", say when your holidays are over; then yes you are hooked once again but not forever.
Being young just means different strategies as you will probably socialize more and maybe with other smokers, which is a temptation Keep your love alive for yourself as well as your fiance and reap all the benefits.

I wish you success Teeqe , as luck has nothing to do with this journey except perhaps the luck that brought you to a great forum with people who understand you and are willing to aid and support you whenever possible. Being accountable to your commitment makes it a reality. Clearly you are ashamed of this or you would not be hiding it from friends and loved ones.
Why not confide in your fiance and come clean. I am sure that they would be very supportive and you can stop feeling guilty for the deception.
